MSc/Hons Projects 2020/2021
I am recruiting students to work on various pesticide resistance evolution projects!
These projects will largely focus on aphid and mite species that are highly destructive to the Australian grains industry. Major research questions will focus on the (1) underlying molecular mechanisms of resistance, (2) constraints to resistance adaptation, and (3) ecological and demographic properties of the pest populations.
Highlights:

Highlights:
- Gain experience and develop a diverse skill set: population genomics, experimental biology, bioinformatics, molecular lab skills, practical field work.
- Funding is already available for projects.
- Flexibility to develop your own ideas and research trajectory.
- A chance to combine genetics and evolutionary biology in a practical, applied context.
